Thanksgiving Evening - Poem by Michael P. McParland
It's Thanksgiving evening now my sweet dear
and the feast is done and the dishes all cleared
and I wish now I could sit back and snuggle with you
and rest our tired and full bodies just cozyed up
so very close and feeling peaceful content.
It's Thanksgiving evening and I want to have you
in my arms as we just relax and rest for a bit.
It's Thanksgiving evening and as this day winds down
I wish I could sit back with you and snuggle so close,
after we rested awhile we could read our book
and then watch some TV feeling so good.
It's Thanksgiving evening and Kira I wish I were with you
just so cozily snuggling and feeling so good.
I love you Kira and in spirit I'm reaching out
to pull you in for the sweetest kiss.
