Saimin Ninjahs

The Battle Of Hatred - Poem by Saimin Ninjahs

Their eyes are like shards of ice
The air turns cold
Swords clash
They laugh cruelly
With hearts of stone
Full of malice
They fight to the death

Our mouths are grim
As we stab and slash
We battle like fire and water
I smell mold and rotting fruit
That mix with the smell of charred wood
Flashbacks of innocent people
Cloud my eyes
Those images remind me
Why I am fighting
As a wave of hatred
Washes over me

Tears spring into my eyes
And their screams
Last forever
As I battle
With a heavy heart
Under the red sun
