The Darkest Knight - Poem by Abigail Slade
There is a place where every man should be,
Is glory alone enough to tempt thee?
No one to answer to. Heavenly! Divine!
Glory with every bullet. Delightful! Sublime!
In the most dangerous of lands, in the heart of the fight,
War uncovers in the centre, the darkest of knights.
Don't worry if you haven't spotted, my hidden meaning in time;
Go on, check out, the first word of each line!
