The Humble Poem - Poem by Bill Cantrell

Humble is the simple poem
It gently washes feet
With words as soothing as a summers breeze

To it, the heart is hallowed ground,
It takes off both its shoes
Pouring out its soul on blended knee

It's goal is just to serve you well,
So let it give release,
Listen to the heartbeat of my pen

Sometimes it is just the simple things
That gives us inner peace,
When we let them stir emotions deep within

    The Humble Poem
    So very, very true
It is the simplest things that put in motion
    Sometimes, our deepest felt emotions.

Beautiful poem, beautifully written, deeply felt.
