Truths - Poem by anthony creelman

I am an ass
You people adore
If love could be measured you've always shown more
I sat back and watch things slip
But in reality we were losing grip
I've caused heartache
I've caused pain
I've made you no longer want to carry my name

Don't worry no more
I am done
I'm ready to grow up
With you as shot gun
Our love is strong this we can not deny
The pain I've cause makes you second guess why
However long it takes we will once again be
With me on one knee ready to began our life journey
