Vespers Oxford - Poem by Andy Brookes

on tessellated floors

raised treble voices
off stone vaulted bones

reflective shadows
stained and ancient
ripple in cool pools
of obfuscated light
on late summer evening.

spirits soar aloft
like her dreaming spires
this evensong.
