Vespers Oxford - Poem by Andy Brookes

echos
on tessellated floors
rebound.

raised treble voices
ricochet
off stone vaulted bones
heavenward.

reflective shadows
stained and ancient
ripple in cool pools
of obfuscated light
on late summer evening.

spirits soar aloft
like her dreaming spires
this evensong.
