White - Poem by Megan Ayscue

As I sit here waiting
On this street of silence
I look up for absolution
But it isn't there.

The darkness covers me
But a light shines through
The light of my life
And a sweet destiny

I have read and wrote many a tale
That many will never understand
I don't expect them to
It's for me

Hope
The beauty of life
Shining through the darkness of life
And replacing it with white light

Beautiful shining light
Isn't it beautiful?
Don't expect me to take your hand
Find it for yourself

Life is for the beholder
Maybe it's all a dream
Don't care
Life for the moment
