Who Picks Up Hearts - Poem by Andrew Hall

Sitting on that Dirt road
2am
It keeps getting closer
By the second

Im never going to get home
Not without you anyway
Make some conversation before it wilts
Into the dirt

I dont think anymore about it
Do i want it to be this bad
Its only 2, sorry too late

There is no reaction
Why are we on this dirt road together
Why are we sitting here

At least we lived with passion
Dont sit on that road
We were not even watching
the head lights
Whos gonna pick up our hearts out of the dirt?
