You And I Against The World Poem by JOE JOHNSON

You And I Against The World

I remember you as a fond
memory, a glims, a leak.
To think that I have once
fallen in love with you is
just Unbelievable. My
sweet and innocent

I remember times we stood
together, times we laughed
together. You have truly made
a mark in my heart, how I wish
you could see it.

The air feels thinner without you,
the company feel less and my skin
feels colder as I wake up everyday
without you at my side.

You always said, 'you and I against
the world' until the world took you
away from me. You always polished
my iron heart but it stood no chance
against the corosive acid we call the
'end'.
