A Baby's View Of

Poem by yoonoos peerbocus

I came as tomorrow
Swaddled in unawareness
To your warm womb
Mother……
Without your choice
Or mine
Destined to up date
With time
Our human tree
But before love
Grew into flesh and words
What is unfinished creation-
A precipitation of blood
Became my transcendence.

Form: Blank Verse

Many years ago, I imagined an unborn baby as a possible fellow-creature in
this unfinished earth, this 'janma', as we figure it.(Report)Reply

    Dear Poet Yoonoos,
This is a fabulous poem. Yes, we do come into this world without a choice totally unaware. We leave this world also without a hint of its time. Yet, we strive and make effort to live a life while it lasts.
Wishing you a wonderful year of joy and peace........10(Report)Reply

So sad and unfortunately true. especially in America. Beautiful words about an atrocity I'm going to share it with your permission.

What an amazing perspective! , writing from the point of view of a new born, as it takes its first uneven steps onto the stage of life, some beautiful verses exposing the wonders of creation, our choice in being here is not given to us, its what we do with what we are here that matters, using love as a guide we could have some semblance of a rich existence.(Report)Reply

The baby writes about how coming from a speck of blood, or its lack thereof, enables a transcendence of all other understandings of what life and creation are.(Report)Reply
