A Panoply - Poem by Karnail Singh Heirwale

A PANOPLY

How passionately
The passion of love
ISs crushed
By the passionate pilgrims
In its nascent stage.
Rather than sprout
Into a plant
It is displanted
To be planted elsewhere
Under a panoply
That has already crushed
Quite a many
Unabashedly
In the name of
Benevolence or grandiloquence
Can the panoply exterminate love?
