An Atheist's Prayer - Poem by Andy Brookes
There is too much sorrow in the world,
without my adding to it.
too much religion
not enough faith, hope or charity.
too much selfishness,
so i will give.
too much pain,
so I will try to heal and comfort.
too much war.
so I will, ironically, fight for peace.
too much hurt,
but I will bear the burden.
what I am I will give,
what I have I will share.
little though that is.
