Dawn Patrol - Poem by Gordon Jerome

They drift upon the morning air
Seemingly with the least of care
As baskets rise and canopies kiss
Dawn patrol is a sight not to miss
Colorful canopies glow in the night
Against the darkness shining bright
As bubbles of colors floating along
Dancing upon the winds silent song
Climbing skyward with steady ease
Searching for that one perfect breeze
Then off they go as hare from hound
Till earthly ties bring them to ground.
“closing thought”
We all have a chance to outshine the rest
But to help one another should be our quest
