Decision - Poem by Corey Jones

She held the gun in her hand,
For the longest time
As memories flashed throughout her eyes
She looked at him,
Her one true love
Lying to herself
Believing it was ok;
She put it to her head
More than once of course
Deciding…thinking
Would it ever change?
Could she live her life this way?
Wondering…waiting
She pointed it at him
Would he be ok too?
If she'd died and left tomorrow
Could his life continue too?
She finally made the decision,
Picked the gun up one more time
She used only two bullets
And ended both their lives…
