I Want You Here - Poem by Michael P. McParland
I want you here my sweet Angel
from heaven on earth.
I need to hold you and release these
fears, pains, and tears.
I can only do that with you,
because I love and trust you in ways
that before with others I never could.
I want you here to share my hopes, dreams,
cheers, excitements, and the love for you I deeply hold.
I need you my darling to share everything forevermore.
To be the people we can both count on when
the road before us gets bumpy and rough,
when we start feeling weak and need that
person of trust on which to lean.
I want you here and need you sweet dear.
I want you here to share your lifes story,
tell me everything both tragic and in glory,
with you there is no mundane or boring
because you are the lady I admire in every way.
I want you here to be your partner and trusted ear,
I need you my darling more than anyone can know.
I want to share with you silly things that excite me,
just random thoughts that may seem odd and amusing.
I want to share them with you and have you share everything too.
I love you so much I can't describe the depth of its glow.
I want you and need you sweet lady and Angel my Queen.
I want you here and I hurt so bad being by myself,
even if there were another I'd feel alone
because she wouldn't be you feeling my heart and soul.
I need you dear because you know who I am,
I want you here because I love you and can't bare
the distance not having you near.
