It Doesn't Get Easier - Poem by Michael P. McParland
It doesn't get easier or better over time
the longer you're away,
I found out a long time ago that it only gets harder
and the hole inside me grows the longer we're apart.
It doesn't get easier or better and I only feel
sadder as time passes by without my sweet lady.
It doesn't get easier over time without you my darling,
my heart just yearns and aches more
longing to have you right here in my arms.
The tears only become more as I need you here
feeling your soul right next to mine where
they can literally speak to each other without a spoken word.
It doesn't get a bit easier it in fact just gets more hard.
I send you all of my loving warmth and I can
feel that which you send too but it's not like
having you here and I just crave you more.
It doesn't get easier and I don't feel any better,
I just long and ache for you more and more.
I truly hope you do feel all the love that I hold
and all the love that I send,
I assure you I can feel yours.
I miss you sweet lady and Angel so true,
I'm there with you always holding your hand and you,
but it doesn't get better or any easier over time.
Not having you here just hurts more and more
because I love you with all my heart and soul
and you are my everything and want to be with you so bad.
