Let Death Come And Set Me Free- Afghanistan

Rating: 4.8
Confined to a wheelchair and staring at the wall
Going to school was the last thing that I recall
They said the bomb went off as we were walking past
And both my parents died instantly in the blast
I cannot feel the pain for my body is numb
Regrettably to my wounds I did not succumb

My country's been at war for as long as I know
And surviving was about knowing friend from foe
Peace and freedom are words we do not understand
But we have long fought for it in this troubled land

Misery of war stuck state is well written, let the world read this and take a strong note of what is happening wrong. Yet another strong poem.

I have seen them drowned and I have seen the bones of those who starved to death. I had known about human-trafficking and all this is happening in this region- so very sad
