Missing: Me - Poem by Kelly Kurt

I have gone missing
That’s not me in the mirror
Maybe I should put up a wanted poster
“Lost; hopes, dreams, appetite for life.”
I’ve been gone a long time
I could be anywhere, or nowhere
Where should I look; or is it when?
If I find me; what then?
Is anyone else looking?

Another superb thought/idea. You have a very keen intellect, a very deep and old soul, beautiful. I love this stuff!
David Wood's comment is spot on also.

Yes, your words are looking for you,
    And in you they blend,
    Into all kinds of poems,
    Waiting around the bend.

But even so, it is a lonely life.......

This makes me think of past and present images of one! Past cannot be seen again, present has to be accepted. What do you, my friend? (Report) Reply

Retrospection and introspection combined to construct an image of lost youth, dreams and aspiration. Although many different mes are missing, the current me does not seek them out actively, only mourn their passing and consider their fates.
