My Wish - Poem by hayley careford
This Lady came to me one night,
wearing a dress very bright white.
She said 'You have three wishes, what could they be?
She was standing there but i couldnt see.
So i sat up to see her better.
There she was holding a letter.
I started to think 'What Should i wish for? '
'I know money for the poor.'
'And i only want one more.'
As a shiver ran through my spine, i said ' I want my farther back'
And as a tear fell from her eyes, she said ' You know you can't have that! '
'But you can go up there, if thats what you want to do.'
'It's not up to me, it's all up to you.'
So i lay back down, waited for my eyes to close.
As someone placed on my chest a big red rose.
My soul has left my body and travelled far away.
I will be up there with my farther, as from today.
