Nothing - Poem by Chelsea Kinsey

I stand in the midst of night
Darkness pressing in
I am lost
I am alone
Someone is stalking
Deep into the night
Looking, Searching
I feel them pressing in on me
I run
I stumble
I fall
They glow with blood, red
I gasp
Blood is rushing, always rushing
There is light
Just a speck
It pierces my breast
I retch in pain
Light spills out my eyes
Stalkers turn to dust
Light spills from my pores
I scream
It burns
I explode
Nothing, Sweet nothing
