Derrick Barker

Now - Poem by Derrick Barker

I don't want to look out of the corner of my eye anymore.
Turning only to see a glimpse of what I wanted and have it pass me by.
Telling myself to wait and this killing pain will recede.
This isn't who I am.
You're waiting on the horizon and I'm coming.
Just wait.
