Our Lives Together... - Poem by Thayne Tuason

the threat

of a future

with you

loomed over us

as old ladies do

with the putrid breath

of unremorseful

alcoholism

stop

you would not

but no lie was beyond you

though evidence

of other truths

sickened anyone near

for your breath

verily

it was

your breath

Topic(s) of this poem: alcoholism, lies
