Perfection - Poem by Dilantha Gunawardana

Man searches for
A goddess who will wear you in her heart
As her eternal soul mate
A woman who will wear
An apron in the kitchen
A negligee in the bedroom
And a pencil skirt to work
Someone who will one day wear your genes
Beneath the cover of her womb
Where a beautiful heartbeat rests
To be undressed in time
By the palms of fate
