Pluto Pupils Poem by Quênia Lalita

Pluto Pupils

what if i clutch too deep...
what if i can't let you win...
what if my hips sink in...
what if your eyes never begin...

what if these claws aren't enough...
what if i fall for what you saw...
what if everything becomes nothing at all...

what if i love you more than i can take...
what if your yawn is suddenly my break...
what if i miss you the instant you leave...

what if i don't know how to explain...
what if i daim to consume your pain...
what if it's all about sorrow...
what if you let me borrow your soul...
what if it's finished the moment we grow...

what if i don't care about grammar nor commas nor anything silly like that and we get so low with the yearning below we can't even catch our breath will you love me still will you drive me insane as you drive my wheels in my head am i going forward am i going further do you think we are touching wherever we are in this path we found ourselves in this strange bed in this weird shape of a dream we still hide while apart what if we lose what if you close the windows so you can stare at my moon just as i stare at your Pluto Pupils as soon as i can as soon as i possibly can if i manage to wait will you be my man my martyr my match
