Preacher Man - Poem by Donald R Wolff JR

Preacher man; Preacher man
You have the power in your hand
Leading souls to the promised land
With words of peace at your command

You tell the lies to save their souls
With a bank account that overflows
The hope you preach sounds all so fine
Living words, from a twisted mind

The flock will follow because you claim
All their sins will go away
A cheerful giver buys Heaven's love
You heard the word of God above

In the distance echoes an Angel's cry
They can see right through those eyes
The darkness that you keep inside
From judgement day- You cannot hide

Live life well while you still can
And pray to see the promised land
A humble heart has peaceful sleep
For what you sow is what you reap
