Promise - Poem by Lia Kiss Jackson

It's gone
Lost without a trace
Nowhere to be found
Like thin air brushing aginst my face
I don't know where it went
Can you tell me where it went
where did it go
Do you even know

Oh my God i found it
It was right here in my face
It was looking reight at me
How could I not see it
That it was there all along

I thought I would never find you
But you're here
Promise me you'll never leave me
Promise me you won't do me like the others did
Don't do me wrong
Promise you'll do right by me and never put your hand on me
Unless it's out of love for me

As you promise to me
I'll do the same for you
I promise you my love
My heart
My everything
I'll give you all of me
As long as you never hurt me
Promise me
I'll promise you
