Rock Bottom - Poem by Crystal Carpenter

People keep asking what’s wrong
The days becoming so long
Thoughts keep racing
Can’t stop pacing
Down with my dreams
Up with yours
Now I dance
Like a puppet on strings
When can I break free
Why can’t you let me be
I’m past annoyance
I’m stuck on hatred
Every time I see you
I want to scream I hate you
When you see me
That’s not who you see
You see you in my eyes
So you teach me to hide
Do me a favor
Look in my eyes
See the truth that lies beneath
Find the truth
You don’t wish to see
Look at me, LOOK!
You know you see it
don’t pretend you can’t see
LOOK AT ME! !
Set me free
Can’t you see
Your making me
Loose my mind
Don’t you dare turn around
LOOK AT ME! !
I swear
Don’t you turn your back on me
I know the truth you hide inside
I’ve never been on your favorite side
But she is
She’s the one so much like you
Even the same choices
So do me a favor
Leave me be
Can’t your going to be the end of me
So jus LET ME BE! ! !
