Rope From The Wharf - Poem by Tracey Marquart

Like a rope tied to the pier
Weathered, stretched, twisted, and tied
Strong but fraying
An integral piece of the puzzle
With a specific purpose, yet
overlooked by most
Once tied,
almost impossible to untie
and start anew
What knot should be tied,
and when should it be tied
This is my heart
