Still In Love - Poem by Dilantha Gunawardana

I keep on finding your soul
Hidden deep beneath my rib cage
Somewhere over my thoracic vertebrae
In between two crouched shoulder blades
Covered in muscle and nerve
Where you still exist
As a malignant heartbeat

I am amazed in two things. First is your vocabulary - are your a doctor? thoracic, vertebrae. Second is how wonderful you see things. All your poems are wonderful. Thank you..! (Report) Reply
