The Best Mistake - Poem by Candy Gurl

God must have sent me an angel from
Above.
I finally found true love.
He’s not like the other.
He’s better

Don’t get me wrong he’s not perfect
There is still some conflict.
I’m not sure what may come of this.

First a kiss.
Then that leads to more.
A huge mistake we have made.
Were so afraid.

What do we do?
We have no clue.
This is a big issue
I love you.

Fourteen and fifteen.
Not ready for this huge responsibility were just teens.
Keep it a secret.
For now it will remain private.

I just want to scream.
This must be a dream.
How could this happen to me?
Would’ve were not meant to be.

Were fighting now.
How could this happen.
It wasn’t suppose to turn out this way.

Were getting use to the idea.
Im gonna be a momma.
Hes gonna be a daddy.
Were hopefully gonna be happy.

Are parents are mad.
But they seem more sad…..
They said we have ruined our lives…

we were in love
and didn’t know this would happen
We only did it once
But that’s all it takes.

9 months later.
We have a beautiful little baby girl.
Loved by all.

We realize this was the best mistake we have ever made.
Were no longer afraid
We love our baby.
