The Chains Around Me 2 - Poem by Kerrie Maurer

Another day moms gone out
Again take all but me with you
After I beg you not to stay
Again I'm here alone with daddy
Few minutes later footsteps heard
I run upstairs to hide
Room by room lights go out
One by one doors locking
Then silence falls
The door opens my heart starts pounding
He steps in and slams it shut
Come out and play babydoll
Trying to stay quiet I fight back tears
He pulls me out from under the bed
I get up to run he grabs me tight
Wrapped tightly in your arms
I feel the heat
I feel your breath run down my neck
Your heartbeat through me
A sudden move brings me down
Pinned tightly to the floor
His hand cradles my face
While the other holds my side
Tears running down
My screams unheard
I try to move
The harder he grips
The harder he pushes
The more he plays
The pain unbearable
The feeling of him inside me
Mom come home make it stop
Hours go by and he lets go
Don't tell mommy
Promise me baby
You tell they'll take me away
I'm bound with no key
Used and abused
From daddy to friends
To my own brother
With everyday the chain pulls more
Tighter and tighter
