The Pit - Poem by Samuel Kapstad

my head is my refuge
from a world so black
with no light
such a silent night
the world is my mind
something i created
everything is mutilated
for my pleasure
ignore the laws pushed upon me
i push the boundries of man
something the loving people
can never understand
people think i am sick
fearing my perception
of the reality of the world
only in my mind i find serenity
gently feeling the wind blowing
a light in my mind is glowing
and i fall deeper into the pit
with the preaching words
such weak lies for words
promising everything
thinking their words are the sole thruth
i claim no thruth but my own
surrounded by people i loathe
i fall deeper towards the pit
