The Renaissance (Classically Inspired) Poem by james watkin

The Renaissance (Classically Inspired)

Raised as from out those dark ages
For Man's worldly conception
What of his own intellect's torch
Had now been thrown upon.

But seems it here, swaying, awed by
Di Bancos, Botticellis
Soul gave back, for a kingdom's gift
The romans, their divinities!
