The Test - Poem by Ricky Bryant
The road we walk on this test known as life.
Is riddled with pot holes, pain and strife.
Then along comes some on that makes it worth while.
Someone for whom you will stand through the trial.
Through the fire you'll walk to make them happy.
The things you will do to make them see.
That you're not one of the mindless wandering sheep.
That you're someone special, different, unique.
That the things that you say aren't merely lies.
That they've got your attention when they look in your eyes.
So, you sit and you wait for the time to be right.
You sit and you wait for that special night.
When your lips first touch hers and all time stands still.
You sit and you wait and you muster the will.
And when the time comes it will be worth the wait.
Because for her you would do whatever it takes.
