Viraj Bhanshaly

Watchmaker

A small side street, the watchmaker worked
On his greatest watch yet,
Its golden interior glimmered
With a glorious shine as it met
The beautiful rays of the sun.

The silver numerals shimmered
As they were hand-pressed,
Gently with the softest touch
They sparkled, like blessed
By the watchmakers ability.

The quartz of finest, that such
Jewellers would marvel. An expert
At his job, able to perfect precision
Whilst making sure no dirt
Entered this magnificence.

The watchmakers pure decision
To etch to whom it belonged,
A writing style practised in leisure
Till perfection like a sweet song
Or a melody for the heart of this watchmaker.

A small side street, a watchmakers endeavour
To create the warm-hearted gold,
One which glimmers in the joyful hearts
And will tick away, as time can unfold
Much more for this wondrous watch.

Its life begins, one tick and it starts
To tell time in perfection,
This watch will soon leave its creator
For its own path of reflection
In the golden sunny rays.

A small side street, the watchmaker worked
On his greatest watch yet,
Its golden interior glimmered
With a glorious shine as it met
The beautiful rays of the sun.
