What I Told Myself

Rating: 4.5
When I first saw you
I couldn’t help feasting my eyes on you.
You are too attractive to go unnoticed.
It was just attraction I told myself.

When I got to know you
I couldn’t help wanting to know you better.
You seem too interesting to be ignored.
It was just curiosity I told myself.

When I got to know you better,
I couldn’t help wanting to get closer to you.
You are just too captivating.
It was just admiration I told myself.

Yet the moment when you embraced me,
I can no longer tell myself what it was
I can no longer deny what I felt
I realized that it was not attraction, curiosity, or admiration all along.

When I first saw you,
You have got my heart captured.
