Without You - Poem by Wanjiru Kamau

Don’t see you
But I hear your voice
I smell your scent
I hear your footsteps

Lonely I bear it
Without you I walk
Knowing that I am alone
Yet you remain with me

It has been a while
Yet sometimes I hear you speak
I feel you
I hold your arms

I hold on to our love
I long for you
For I walk
Just like a fool
Knowing without you
I will forever walk alone
