You Screwed Up - Poem by Anna Dietze

Tell me one thing
That isn't a lie
Asking too much?
I opened my heart
You shut me out
I'd sit there and cry
You'd just turn away
You thought you were a pimp
More like a punk
I looked into your eyes and saw nothing
No emotion, no feelings whatsoever
Why did it have to end like that?
You just didn't care
You ripped out my heart
Laughed in my face
It was my turn to walk away
We went from something
To nothing
In a matter of seconds
You'll always have to live with the fact
That you screwed up
