A Quiet Day And Quiet Night - Poem by Michael P. McParland
It was a very quiet day and quiet night
my sweet love.
One in so many ways where my mind was
just distant in it's aching pains
and a quiet day to myself was what was needed my dear.
I'm sorry and I hope you will understand,
it was just a quiet day and quiet night
just for me to be by myself.
Please understand that my dear I thought of
and was with you the entire time sending my love
and sending my warmth.
I'm still here my sweet dear I'm never leaving you
this I swear to you over and over again.
It was a quiet day where in writing I just
didn't have any good ideas in my head for you
and I truly want to give you my best always.
Just a quiet day feeling somber and lost
and wished so many times we could have sat and talked.
I was sending you sweet kisses the whole time
and praying you weren't worried and upset
and that you were receiving all of my loving warmth.
Just a quiet day with so much going on inside of me.
Then as a quiet late afternoon turned into
a quiet and lonely night I just sat
and played my video games for hours and hours
and you know I'm by no means a gaming fanatic.
It was something on which I could focus
and I was enjoying it.
I hope and pray you understand that it was just
a quiet night and a quiet day.
I will always love you my Angel so dear.
Just a quiet night and a quiet day like we all need
to just crawl into our shells and just be,
I love you no less and I mean what I say
when I tell you I love you more and more everyday,
I truly did fall apart when I lost you,
you are my diamond in the rough
and Queen who means everything to me in every beautiful way.
You are my gorgeous Kira and I love you so much
my heart is full and about to burst.
Feel my arms around you and all of this loving warmth.
It was just a quiet day and quiet night
my sweet dear and I truly am missing you so very much.
God bless your sweet heart and remember you're loved.
Your Michael will stand by you for all of time.
