Angels - Poem by Mugdha Khedkar
From the day I opened my eyes after my birth,
I knew I was lucky, I had got angels on this earth.
When my diet was milk, I used to just sleep and cry,
They had me in their arms or somewhere close by.
When I took my first step, their hands tightly held mine,
In every crisis, they were there to say, 'Everything will be fine'.
They realized I needed help even if I didn't tell,
They made my life a heaven when it seemed to be a hell.
They gave me shoulders to cry upon whenever in need,
They mended my broken heart, my calls they did heed.
A life without them is a life all alone,
A life without them is a body with no bone.
