Generation induced by social media,
World of selfishness and stupidity.
Subliminal messages carried on ideas,
In this era of our society.

Indelible artwork upon your skin-
Of great memories and legends,
Such as the fallen wall of Berlin,
Episodes that cannot be forgotten.

Rise of heavy metal, punk and rap music-
Pearl Jam, Nirvana we referred to as 'Grunge'-
During the height of The AIDS Epidemic,
And in the heat of The War On Drugs.

Euphoric high from intoxication-
As we whirled to techno and rave.
From what emerged of this revolution,
Innovation transcended to new waves.

From computers, cell phones, internet,
To breaking ground of Dot Com Bubble's burst.
Ignorance and greed without safety nets,
Like lemmings fulfilling their thirst.

Thousands of lives lost afore our eyes,
Bloodshed on terror yet to cease.
Soldiers like zombies; traumatized,
Through Brotherhood we shall declare peace.

Such cruel world of calamity,
Hence, we must preserve salvation.
Let there be hope to prevail unity,
As we encounter a new destination.
