Hold My Hand, Hold My Heart - Poem by Michael P. McParland
Come hold my hand sweet darling
I need so much to feel you near.
I'm filled with worry and fear.
Afraid that I might lose you,
fearful that I'll screw it up
and in some way hurt both of us.
Please come hold my hand
and hold my heart to reassure me now.
Come hold my hand and soothe my
aching worrired heart.
Slide into bed with me where we can
cuddle chasing away all the empty cold.
Look into each others eyes and
gaze into our very souls,
saying I love you darling and I'm here forevermore.
Come take me in your arms and hands
calming each others hearts for a peaceful night ahead.
You hold my heart and soul just as I
want it to be forevermore.
You are my Angel and a blessing I always thank God for,
Please come take my hand and fill me up,
my other half is incomplete without you here.
Come hold my hand and soothe my heart I need
it so very bad.
You are the only woman I'll ever love and eternity
is yours and mine.
