Love And Hate - Poem by Bel Gav

He looks beyond
seeing nothing of me
Just feeling that feeling
as if i should never be

Our moment is lost
affection forgotten
What remains is the hate
and thoughts unbidden

Just to raise his ire
i speak a line
To let him know
i am not fine

Why i insist to fight
i do not know
Maybe i need the attention
he seldom shows

When he walks away
my hand trembles
Not in fear of loss
just feelings in shambles

Now i ache
and i cry in solitary
How the room so suddenly
feels so wide and empty

How i long to throw
anything that shatters
Just to drown away this sound
of my heart in tatters

As my hand reaches out
for that cold ivory vase
I feel him behind me
enveloping me in his embrace

He utters no words
of sorries and i love yous
Only tightens his hold
and i wish him not to let go

In time i will understand
how love works with destiny and fate
But for the moment i just know
there's a thin line between love and hate.
