Meant To - Poem by Christopher Michael McGarry

It was something rather boring
it was something rather slow
I wish to say the cause of this
I want so bad for you to know
the end is better with thoughts the better
as much I ought to bring the show
tell me the sum, my letters wait
to speak the sum, to hold and elate
it was me all along you know
was her you him and so
they all put there eyes to you
but only I could lift them up

Tell me, did you figure the days
were better in all so many ways
without me there your vision swore
off in so many left days

You always said it would last forever
in a true dream our minds would run together
but reality stops and promiscuous bonds
are for the ones who decide to question God
I said you choose to live forever
dine-in with gods and fate will treasure
your body will burn in my fleeting eyes
or fall out and burn altogether.
