My Never-Ending Dreams - Poem by Laura Dunne

I found the edge of reason
and i stepped off the cliff
i was falling towards the ground
but i stopped before i fell apart

something tells me you
were the one who lifted me up
and saved me from my fate
although this might be the end
right now it begins
in my never-ending dreams

i questioned my faith in life
and it scared me half to death
i didn't trust myself at all
and i began to live within my dreams

something tells me you
helped me through the times
and saved me from myself
although this might be the end
but right now it begins
in these never-ending dreams

shaken up and scared
i tremble and i whisper
for your saving light
forever through hard times
without it i would drop
with no arms to break the fall

but something tells me you
helped me fly above
and saved me from this life
and though this might be the end
right now it begins
in my never-ending dreams
