Rain Is A Cliche, But So What? - Poem by Anne Lewis

Is it raining in your soul?
Do the questions ever cease?
Hair falls on your face
At its own release.

Are you tired today
Though you got enough sleep?
Is your life on your mind?
Is this cycle repeat?

The anxiety you have
Is temporary in your head
My anxiety for you
Could begin to pull the thread
A string that I won't pull
To unravel all of you
I will not bring you down that low
As a lovesick girl would do.
