Seven Children Came - Poem by Pijush Biswas

They were seven children
Clever and wise,
And did not know me
Who was only I, a better man.
But I was as sure as them-
One day, must meet.

One day, while came rain
They were as fair as star,
Shining and blazing-
Under rapturous mood.
Although they didn't know
Came entering my house.

I said, 'Who are there? '
When they fearfully answered
'We, just we, none but
We, the seven victims'.
And I open my mind
To give them relief.

Hence I gave the fruits,
Two and half a basket
To ensure their friendliness
Or, peep through their hearts
Whether in all or none
We became friends.

I said, 'Take all, eat'
Although they denied
Saying- 'Our dear brother,
We are all okay
As early as you bid
Welcome to us'

A beautiful soliloquy in the form of a poem. Enjoyed the rhyme and reading it. Whether the 7 boys stand for seven sisters? Will love to know. Thanks for sharing.10 points. (Report) Reply
