Summer Love - Poem by Jordyn Ruhter
Oh, summer love, I cry for thee
I always thought you'd say you love me
You smash my dreams
And tear my heart at its seams
Over something stupid.
When I pledged my heart and soul to you
And I thought that we'd always be 'The Two'
That everyone talked about.
I bid you adu and you say to me
'I thought perhaps that we
Would always be together.'
