Untitled - May

What do you when the shadows come knocking
When they break down the door and walk across your face
What do you do when the screams are unceasing
When they flood your thoughts, your dreams, your space

How to be normal in a place that is broken
Where vocal truths disappear without a trace
How to exist when lives are just a token
Where living and breathing could be the end of your race

How do you stop the shadows from walking
And the anger and bitterness they have in tow
How do you stop these horrors you're seeing
And the vacant stares that say, we know

Where are the 'normals' of which they write?
Are they all hiding somewhere far from sight
Why should you stop these feelings that flow
When thought is a sin that can sink you below

Why should you run when the shadows come knocking
Just open the door to your eyes, your face
Why should you shun the horrors you're seeing
Just let them flood your dreams, your space

You know your own kind
You know your own race
You see when the shadows
Walk across their face

But in the darkness you find
That you have not a place
And blood paints the shadows
That walk across your face

love some of the rhythm in this Michelle 'What do you when the shadows come knocking When they break down the door and walk across your face What do you do when the screams are unceasing When they flood your thoughts, your dreams, your space' and the other verses too, it sounds or reads more like a song though, is that something you've considering doing
