Weeping Willow

White Roses

A white rose fading
Crumbling to the ground
As the winds blow the petals
into swirls
Where memories can
be found

In the sacred light
of dawn it dies
Becoming souls of light
Renewing life
Joining to God's blessed gift
Newness floods the soul
Bringing cleansing fire
to burn away the pain

White petals fall all along
the ground
Filled with beauty and light
For us who walk along the darken tunnels
of life
Where darkness creeps in
Trying to destroy what little light
the soul holds

As memories slide through my hands
Treasures fade in this old world
of mine
Leaving me yearning for a back step door
to walk through
To reach the times and memories
spent with you.

    Very beautiful poem!
    Tenderly written, tenderly felt
    Leaves in the reader
    A very pleasant
    And lasting effect.
